Just bought a 5 gallon tank for my room. Going to use some fish from my pond to help cycle, going to add sand, driftwood and plants...

*I DONT NORMALLY USE BOTTLED BACTERIA, BUT IT CAME WITH THE KIT SO WHAT THE HECK*

Stocking ideas? I was thinking some Cory catfish, guppies and shrimp..

Replaced the filter cartridge with bio balls and bio rings

Plus a short tour of a lfs

Cories and guppies get too big. Stocking a tank that small is rather hard, but convict360 convict360 seems to be an expert. I have 2 Scarlet Badis in my 4 gallon planted nano. They max out at 3/4" of an inch, making them great for small tanks.

Thanks for the advice!

Store is pretty good. Has a good selection of monster fish, only draw back is the prices
My lfs is trying to sell a normal 5" Clown Knife for $50 US ($67 Can). You don't know bad prices until you come down here.

During my trip down to the states down to Seattle, I brought some fish back... Super cheap down there.
Got a fire eel for $17 and 2- rtc for $45
