Does anyone have pics I them as adults? The 5-6 inch range?

No one has ever seen a full grown adult I think. These fish made their grand debut on the market about 7-8 months ago. They were seen scarcely before that in the year leading up to their release to the public at large (likely testing the demand). The lack of adult pictures is making a lot of people wonder if their true size potential is only 3-4" rather than the "advertised" 5-6".

Lost mine a few days ago and one of my fire mouths my wife feed them and for some reason thought there was more than 4 small fish in there and I didn't catch it in time .
I went out of town for work for a few days and found them dead.

When're to buy some more and ended up getting 2 more Dovii.
Don't worry they go in the 180 grow out after quarantine ...

My question is why do these electric blue acaras have red eyes my first thought when I saw a three at a lfs here was that they were funky looking thai silks but to my surprise one of the guys said it was electric blue acaras and it kinda of got me wondering if electric blue rams, ebjds, cobalt discus, and thai silks all have similar genetic modifications besides line breeding or could it all be a skin type like melanistic or leusistic

Sorry to hear about your loss crash. I've had mine for about 3 months now in a 30 gallon grow out with 2 ebjd that are about the same size as him. I know they grow slow like the ebjd and waiting for them to put on size. I keep a close eye on all 3 of them and so far so good. I never let me wife feed my fish. She's only allowed to turn on the lights on the fish tanks and that's it. Hopefully later in the future you can pickup some more. Here's a shot of mine.

My guy has been growing on the slow side to. Then again he is also growing out in a 10 gallon with a leopard ctnepoma that doesn't get water changes as much as it should (but it has duckweed the likes of which you've never seen lmao)

I'm going to be transferring him to my 75 soon I believe, if it looks bad though he'll stay in the 10 longer. I just don't want my bigger EBJD killing him :\ I suspect they should be fine when equal size though.

She feeds all my fish but she didn't realize that I had moved some fish around and thought there was more than 4 little guys in there.
Oh well.
I'll get some more but I ended up buying a couple of Dovii and u have one in the tank before he goes in the 180 soon as I move him I'll go get some more blues
