lucky you... a free rio 400. is the filter any good? i was gonna just put my heater in there and some LR, or even cut it out for more room. ive read loads of people have done it to thiers.
i have a fluval 405 (up to 1300 LPH) so that would go on... and a fluval 4+ (1000 LPH) mainly for water movement. id get a few more powerheads too... im 21 next month, so im hoping for a big haul

so thats when im hopefully getting my tank. or at least a financial boost to help towards it..
like i said i might buy the tank on its own, and make a stand. then i'd use my 3ft for a sump, fill it with LR and let it do its thing. then the tank could have a relatively clear bottom for the doggie so sit on. maybe some big pieces in the back corners fo asthetics and for critters to hide in.
and as for the trigger you mentioned... is it the trigger that can be caught off chesil beach,
Balistes capriscus, i only know it as the grey trigger.
but it would still fall under the 'native' label. even though it is only a summer visitor.
but its still a pipe dream at the moment for me... i like my current reef tank too much. ive got some nice corals growing, and ive just got a longnose hawkfish, ive been looking for one for literally 3 years. even before i went SW! they had one in the liverpool museum, but didnt have a card with its name on

so it was only like 8 months ago i found out what it was actually called. i dont think i could just get rid of that tank... and ive got nowhere to put it when i get the rio. i have a tough desicion to make. or im really gonna have to suck up to my GF to let me keep it set up somewhere... its not gonna be easy...
