New NTT Eating advice

The problem with feeding them live first is that they may get use to it?
Everytime I have new fish I tend to feed it the food i want it to eat first so that they "know" that, that is the food they will get.
Ofcourse with my Dat i tried pellets first but no interest at all so I went for prawns!

Thanks, Ive bulked him up on BW now so he's not gettin anymore hopefully he will take prawns or muscles in a day or two will just have to see
 
Just thought id update, on Thursday the Dat ate some frozen bloodworm,
Friday it ate prawn and muscle then today it ate some Massivore! Im made up maybe now it will start fattening up and hopfully growing Massive!

What is the average growth rate of an NTT?
My AT has doubled in size in 2 months is this normal for other Dats?
 
I think it is normal as the AT is very active and probably eats more.
