An island somewhere......
Looking to get a couple/few FX5's. Anyone selling any locally or will entertain shipping. I know Ebay sells them but I'd rather find something with media in it.... and locally (So. Cal). PM price and age of tank please. Thanks.

youre not going to get a better deal then EBAY. thats for sure. i tried looking on here and ebay is by far the best deals.

sorry... i know your lookin for a fx5.... but i have a cascade 1500 used it a couple of times... some media in it... all trays and filters are in good condition... only asking 75$. and handles 200gallons... just wondering if your interested since i didnt see any fx5's offered yet...

Thanks for the offers of the Cascade and the Eheim..... I currently have 2 - FX5's and just wanted to match what I have and what I'm familiar with. I've had a few offers thru PM buy you guys are right... not anything better than Ebay. (as I mentioned in my opening post). Wish I hadn't sold my other 2!

I'd get a 2262 over a FX5....
Good luck Sean!

Might just go with a couple Wet/Dry Sumps..... I can get 4 Rio pumps for the price of one FX5 w/o media. (already have spare 55g. tanks)

Decisions, Decisions.....

I'd take a good working wet/dry over a canister any day. If the filter pad or sock gets clogged you just rinse it or replace it without having to take the whole thing apart. So much easier and it adds a lot more oxygen to the water then a canister.

:iagree: Especially with the system of tanks you're going to run, and the work load you have...
