Reiner, JL.... you two are absolutely correct! I actually buy my filter padding from the local fabric store and cut them to size. $4 for a yard (3'x9') ... much cheaper than buying Fluval pads. I'm just doing research on pumps now.... thanks for slapping some sense into me.

How many tanks are you going to run? You might just be better off doing a central system with a few separate hospital/qt tanks
