Wow....lol...talk about blackwater...u use the extract? Or just a lotta drift wood? LOL! Nice!!

Ben...awesome bro!! Glad it worked out for yaz! I was actually wanting to get some of those Caquetaia spectabile myself...so definately post pictures when you get them...wanna see how they look. They are indeed predatory...lol...but I don't think they have as large of a mouth as kraussi...awesome fish though! Especially when full grown...spectacular color. The main fish i would watch with them would be the oblongus...since they are only 1" and I don't know their growth rate. The abalios are about the same size...and should have a good enough of a growth rate to be safe. And the severums are deep bodied..so no worries there! CONGRATS!! Makes me wanna get more fish again...lol...must...resist!!

Cured both pieces of driftwood in the tank, and I only use peat and floss in my filters (Emp 400s so they have biowheels for bio filtering). Some of it's also natural blackwater--:swear: water sprite!

There are some more pics under the oscar thread. The fish love it, but it makes it a ***** to take pictures. I'm going to have to run some good carbon for a few days, take pics, and then replace the peat :D.

yeah, i have black sand, and spray painted the back and sides black...plus i add peat...so its a rather dark tank...hate trying to take pictures so i hear yaz! LOL

They've just arrived! I'll try to post pics later but they'll probably be blurry and a little small since its a web cam.

Well, its a little late for pictures right now, :(, I'm gonna let them settle a little before I do so. They all came in really good shape. I haven't noticed very much color yet except really on the oblongus. Definitely happy with them. They're all still so small so I can't wait when they start growing and coloring up. Pics will come soon. Just hope they come out well enough. Don't have the best means of taking pics :(
