They look pretty big in those pics. Hahaha.. real nice looking bass there.

Having a hard time breaking them off live... they've rejected all prepared foods and pellets.. I don't want to go over 3 weeks of starving them...

In my experience, Orinos are pretty easy to train. I've had a really hard time training Kelberis. Orinos ger hungry fairly quickly. It really helps if they have tankmate cichlas who eat off-live.

Just be patient, they will eat eventually.

Agreed, all orinos I have had have been practically instant pellet eaters including this latest one that I got from Wes.If you are having troubles training them I would discontinue any feeders if that is what you are giving them and start them on blood worms and small cuts of shrimp and fish....then you can try one of the training methods that has been shared and posted about.
I have a trio of young kelberi that I got almost four months ago and I have just recently gotten them onto pellets...well,except for one holdout.

I've already tried small cuts of fish and shrimp with no success. They occasionally take blood worms here and there. Their tankmates actually take the prepared foods no problem.
