Got two new kids for the tank yesterday - a 22" ornate wobbegong and a 15" thornback guitarfish from Chris (BlackTip17). Took ~5 hours to acclimate and treat with prazi and prime, then into the tank they went. The wobbe is already eating like an angry beartrap - puts my nurse shark to shame. I'm still working on getting the thornback to eat - Chris said it took him awhile to get the little guy eating.

That thorn back is really cool. I got a kick out of him last time I was down at his chris's house. He brought me up a guitar fish last week and he is doing great.

The nurse is about 20" - I got him in January at about 9"

Yeah - wobbies tend to inhale their food, which nurses tend to suck in their food.

But then the ornate wobbie will only double from current size - while the nurse will eventually get about 5-6 times larger than it's current size.

Nice stuff I've been thinking of a wobby but first i'd have to find a home for my nurse since she's taken a liking to stingray she's killed 3 in 2 months rips there tails off and then it's just a frenzy between her and the tessy eel on who gets more.

hehe - true. Right now they're pretty comparable in size, the wobby might even be a tiny bit bigger. They seem to get along off the bat - or they just like the same hiding spots - my tank has several natural hiding spots that they both seem to lay in.
