Thanks guys for the nice comments. i think its a female.. most interesting fish i own so far.. besides the silver arowana thats 5" and talks to the bichir? the ornate will swim all the way to the top and they just stare at eachother like they are talking.. she isnt shy at all.. she loves to follow my finger and come see me when i get home... i thought they were supposed to be shy? ill be getting a delhezi about the same size as her and maybe a albino senegal or a endli... or maybe all three:ROFL: very addicting.. i understand why people say after you buy one you just want more...:grinno: she also comes up to the top to eat? since i dont have sinking pellets YET... she comes all the way to the top.. i love her :)
 
hi everyone i used to have a ornate but his life was short lived as a small rtc ate him i think someone did as i only had it for a month and it vanished so i would be careful when it comes to choosing tank mates as mine was actually a little bit bigger than the fish it was with. i have 2 questions for u guys though im new to mfk and i cant post a thread everytime i try it messes up and how do u change the fish name below ur actual name and above ur picture. any one that can help would be great thanks
 
I had the same question about the fish name under my actual name.. its like a rank.. the more times you post the more you rank up and the name changes from fish to fish. you will see it change very soon.... trust me.. and about the thread i dont know why you arent able to make a thread maybe you arent high enough ranked? maybe try after you have poster 10 times
 
Nice ornate, watch it with the aro though cause ornate can be a bit aggressive at times.

wow thats a really nice ornate. how much did you get him?
you should try to switch to sand. less rought than rocks
 
I will do sand when i get the new tank thanks.. and she was $29.99.. im thinking of getting another male.. and ill watch her and the arowana but i doubt anything will happen... they are fine... they like eachothers company...her behaviour is amazing.
 
alyssa i got her from aquatic kingdom when i went there for the first time.. they just got a shipment of delehzi and ornates.. im going back to buy a delhezi:D and probably get a senegal from dragon.. or endli from dragon.. BA has nothing.... but do you know what i can get from BA food wise for the bichirs? or from aquatic kingdom or dragon?

Aquatic Kingdom has great fish.
BA didn't have anything when I was there last time either.
For food, you can get blood worms and sinking pellets all my other food I get from the grocery store. It is a lot cheaper.
 
what do you get from the grocery store? and i have FD bloodworms for my arowana.. so i guess when they evntually sink to the bottom she will eat them?
