we need better pix....

As to white poop, it points to internal parasites.

Is it a stringy and long poop?

I saw them pooping yesterday when I introduced them to the tank, and it seemed normal, brownish poop. But today I found these short white strings under the log... I don't know if they are poop because I haven't really seen them pooping it lol... it was just there. I posted a better pic so you can see.

Now that I think about it it could also be leftover Anacharis roots, because I used to have some with my old Jack Dempseys but they literally shredded them to pieces, they could have been buried in the sand and since I rearranged the tank yesterday they resurfaced.

What do you think?

I went to the Fish Store and asked to talk to a specialist, showed him pictures, etc... he told me this was most likely an old fungal infection and some minor external parasites, but that I shouldn't rush on medication cuz sometimes this is not required at all, and can stress the fish even further.

He recommended that I feed small amounts of high quality food twice a day, dose the tank with aquarium salt, raise the temperature of the water and watch the fish closely. then add another dose of salt in 3 days. I'll do this and see how it goes.

--- BTW, the white strings were indeed anacharis roots lol, I couldn't resist so I took them out the tank and it's definitely not poo.

UPDATE:

After about 30 hours of dosing the tank with 1 rounded tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons and raising the temperature to 86 F, all the external white parasites have completely disappeared, the Albino Oscar has started eating again and they all seem very active/curious, I'm really surprised that this happened so fast and I have no idea what the white things were, but they're completely gone. I will keep an eye on them and re-dose the tank with Salt on Wednesday.

I will also keep the temperature at 86 degrees for the rest of the week, and decrease it gradually to 80 degrees on Saturday while doing a 50% water change. Then I'll keep up with weekly 25% water changes and keep dosing the tank with some salt to keep them healthy and calm.
