Hi,
We gust got an Oscar from PetSmart. Please no flack about PetSmart because where I am, my choices are very limited unless I order on line and I like to see the fish that I am buying when I can.
We bought a 3" red, plump. swimming all over the place and no sign of illness Oscar.
1/2 hour home in a large air bag. Held in lap to keep stable and warm. Heater in car going. Established Q tank at 76 degree and 7.0 pH. 35 plus years years in fish keeping. First Oscar.
With all that said, after we got her home and started floating her for twenty minutes and adding a cup of tank water every five minutes to the bag, she is laying almost motionless on the bottom of the tank after release. She stays upright for the most part.
Has this happened with your Oscar or like fish? Because I never have.
What are the chances of it making it?
