3 oscars and 2 plecos are going to be a huge bio-load on a 75gal. in a very short while. Oscars grow very fast, and plecos are pooping machines. Of course you seem to know this. Here's hoping you can keep up on large, frequent water changes. Go barebottom until you get a bigger setup. Oscars dig everything up, and rip plants to shreds anyway. Good luck!

That's a good idea, but don't I need rocks and such for algae to build on so the plecos can feed?

You can always feed the plecos. I would use 2 AquaClear 110's on an 75 gal. Oscar tank. I've been there, done that! LOL! AquaClears are dirt cheap online.

Agree with that. & set them to full blast. you will need the added mechanical filtration with three oscars.

Slow rates a great with a wet/dry & pure(ish) BIO filtration, but those O's & Plecs will put out some nasty particulate matter
