Well there's no right or wrong answer to the growth rate. If you keep it by itself or with less fish he'll grow faster as there's less competition for food. Well more like the food will sit. They move when it's dark and when they eat they eat a lot so if it is kept by itself or with few bottom feeders it should grow pretty fast. If you have other pig bottom feeders then it probably won't grow as fast. Like all fish it depends on food, how much each fish eats contributes to it's growth.
