alrighty thanks for the advice Mike...I'll be posting the pick of the father of these fry again since it didn't work the first time...hince the blank post:)

great! it shows up now:) How soon after fry are hatched or released until they start eating. Mine are only 2 days old and I've been tossing in some crushed up Cichlid Frenzy flake food in their tank but they haven't eatin any yet when I've watched them.
 
Give them a couple days to settle in and they should start eating.
 
the fry are eating like pigs...my other 2 polits just released and I now have a total of 16 polit fry...less than I expected but I noticed a few days ago that I have another polit holding so soon I'll have over 20 fry to grow out and eventually sell when I start running out of tank space or need a little extra cash.
 
If only you were closer i would buy some off you. I love the look of them. Think they would get along with chilumba ? or is the color to similar?
