I have pulled airline tube off of wild caught rays that had fungus growing under and around. Just keep a close eye and make sure that nothing moves onto the tail. She could pack those tubes around for 6 months or more. If they are not pushed down to the tail you can use some snips to cut the barb itself which in turn would remove the tube.

Thats a tremendous looking hen Don. Its tough being down to 2 rays and looking at rays like this and not go shopping:)
 
She is fattened up and in with the others doing well. Eating all foods offered.

You need only to look to the supplier and their reputation. If cb bred by Ross, there's no reason why hip bones should be showing, yet it is par for the course...

While I agree that there is no reason she should have been that thin (and I stated as much to Pedro) her tail was still thick, very active and eating well almost immediately. So all is good now....she is a very nice Hen that I am Happy to have gotten.

Honestly I have had far worse experiences getting rays from some former vendors!
 
She's looking great. What is the cat at the other end of the tank?
