New Pacman froggie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's a nice Pac Man Frog. Been thinking of getting one myself. My friend (big E) got a Budgett's Frog and that thing is sweet! Now I want a frog.

actually, i won't mind if it really likes taking a dump in the water bowl.
i have to change the water daily anyway. :D

yep thats what i did it makes life much easyer. i used to use moss from the garden store thats ment for hanging baskets (£3 for a big bag) he loved it . easy to dig in

i'm worried that moss from the garden store might have some additives added to it that could be harmful to the frog.

so i've been hesitating for sometime.

i saw some peat moss today which they use as a filtration medium.
i thought that would be cleaner and safer. but gosh... it IS expensive if i need to fill the tank with 2" of that.:cry:

Whatever is in the picture with him is fine as substrate. I have seen that and peatmoss be used plenty. Also I have read you can use a mixture of potting soil...has to be organic with no addatives though. Also I am no reptile guru so don't take just my opinion on this. Get some other people to pitch in. Oh one more thing. You can get about a 25 or 50 pound bag of peat moss at the gardening store for like $3 or something like that. Make sure you wash and maybe even bake and you are GOOD.
