why would you wanna buy one that was that big already...dont you wanna watch them grow?

LOL the people I rescue them from have had the chance to watch them grow. And they grew until they outgrew their tanks. I get the chance to watch them grow bigger -- all of my guys have 8 to 12 inches of growing to do, at minimum. Also, I don't buy them. I don't pay anything for them, because the people giving it away are the ones getting the good deal. I'm just the crazy lady who likes Pacus.

Are you serious about having it? Did you pick up another one? And I know you're just kidding about it being for me... or you better be, at least! :WHOA:

no i didnt pic up another, But i do have someone with one thats looking for a good home for him.. Just incase someone is willing to take another one... hehehe...

Haha yes... To all viewing this thread who live in the DC/VA area, wishing they could have a gigantic Pacu of their very own... contact $INI$T3R. There. I've done my part. :grinno:

This is so nice to see... thanks for giving them such a great home

Well, as the three cats, dog, and rabbit I've adopted can testify, I'm a softy! I hate that I can't do more. But I really do think that once these guys reach full size, along with Guido, the RTC, who's only about two feet or a little more right now, I'll be at maximum. So, that's all I can do. I feel bad for the others, but I can at least know I'm doing right by the ones I have.

I agree.. we all wish we could do more.. but what it really takes is more of us to do a little... and you are doing great enough already

And, of course, to try and educate those who purchase these animals unknowingly. When I tell people on this site about the requirements for keeping these fish, I am almost always criticized by other members. They say things about the person being able to accommodate the fish as they grow, though they have them in a very small volume currently. I know that they can, and I can hope that they will. But I have three fish who that didn't happen for, and I'm going to say what I need to say, no matter what other members may think. It's just a lot to do for a fish, and people need the information so that they can make the right decision. Sigh... and now I'm off of my soap box!
