I've been wanting a FAL for a long time.
I thought about an Imbel but I've heard they have some quality issues.
Also DSA make's California approved rifles - which is awesome for me!
To people complaining about paint - don't matter what color a gun is, you'll be dead before you see it.

I too had always wanted an FAL. A few years ago I sold my G3 so I was on the lookout for another .308 cal. After the AK it's the most widely used weapon throughout the world. I chose to go with a DSA because they got most of the problems out of the original FN's. They use their own receiver and the rest is made from Austrain parts. It's a really nice rifle and shoots awesome. You just have to get around the initial price.
From what I've read some Imbel pieces are made from castings and a few the rifles that sold have been made from bad casts. I don't think it was a lot of them. You'll want to do some research on them so you know how to spot a bad one if you go that route.
