Thank You
The eggs have hatched & all is going well. I can't wait for these guys to grow.
and
I took a glance @ your project. It looks interesting & I'm going to read the thread as soon as I'm done here. I love reading about other members projects.

Jill why is it that everyone says to use a EBJD male and a reg JD female instead of a reg JD male and an EBJD female? I have one of both and they tried spawning but it never got off from laying eggs... they were always white and so I put a 3 reg JD in with them and now one of the reg females is paired with him and running around biting rocks and cleaning... will I need another Blue male to get EBJD's from one of the female BGJD? Or can I use the EBJD female I have and a BGJD male? LOL! Sorry for rambling on!

Hi GoldGuapote ,

It's not a rule to use and EBJD male & a regular (WTJD) or (BGJD) female.
but it's preferred because of aggression.

Now, I'm not sure what kind of setup you have. So I'm not sure what's going on in your tank. There could be many reasons for the eggs being white ( Not Fertile ), so without more information I can't say why. One way to find out if your female EBJD is fertile is to pair her up with one of your male (BGJD's) & watch the spawn. I wouldn't go out of my way & buy another EBJD male unless you really want one. Anyways, I need more information about your project to be able to help you. So if you want to open a thread & post the project, I'll help you run it.
- Jill :)
