meaning I had both of his parents and bred them (both short bodies) to create him, their whole batch turned out to be short bodies as well but he was the only survivor as he was seperated early on and the others died from an ammonia spike

update: Unfortunatly over xmas while I was gone the female took a hating to my male SB tex, gave him a real nice gash in his side, i dont know if they did the deed but she wasnt fat any more and obviously it didnt work out. I have cut down most of my fish are gone now , just have the male SB tex (hospital tank) my Fader Flowerhorn, and then the one male Syn now with my SB tex female...he is still too young to breed but who knows in a couple months...just going to add some roseline sharks with them and thatll be in for me for fish, unless i find another nice SB Tex(s)..or a super nice proven female blood parrot....
.here is a pic of the young syn with my female SB tex....if they ever breed could make for some interesting babies eh? regardless im just happy to enjoy them and the lowered tank maintenance
