Good buy man, I love these fish they are absolutely incredible. Ive never owned Armatus so I cant compare but coming from a red tail owner they are a key addition to any pred tank. Ive had mine for about 8 months and he is about 11" and is extremely aggressive. Ive never heard of them being aggressive on the forum but i assume it differs from fish to fish. Hes injured several tank-mates and even impaled a 7" Siamese Tiger i had before. I'm new to these guys but from what Ive seen as long as you keep them well fed they should be happy. Keeping 2 together is a bad idea as i used to have a Scomb with this man and he owned him from day one. after i got another 2 Scombs they seemed to have calmed down quite a bit. after about 2 months i removed all 3 scombs for a trade for a ATF and hes become the beast he once was. Soon to be introducing my Goliath African Tiger fish into the mix once hes too big for his grow-out tank and I hope they get along.
