Crappy deal,my first pbass lasted 2 days,jumped out of my tank

wow! very similar to what happened to me lol.... damn. That is a real shame though to find a fish like that had jumped out of the tank to its death! I always check my tanks stock as soon as I get in the room for that reason, it's almost OCD now lol

Just in case for future reference keep the bass in a seperate tank. I wouldn't put a goby in any peacock bass tank. Gobys are biters.

Yeah that was a bad mistake, even for the short time I did it apparently. Next time I am definitely going to keep the Pbass away from all my other fish. At least until it gets really big! But yeah I agree Gobies are straight killers, my Marbled Goby has the balls to lip lock with my giant Oscar.. and Oscars can crush nuts and all that crazy crap so that shows you how big a Gobies balls can be LOL

Thanks man! I really do hope I can find one again.. this time not from that LFS! looking back at the pics the Pbass did look very stunted and thin :l if it comes down to it I will drive quite a distance to get a healthy one, especially one that has some size on him already.

Definitely dead When I came home with the new filter for the Pbass' own tank I found him sideways in the plant... I flipped him over and his entire right eye ball was missing and had a very deep cavity in his head. I took him out of water, confirmed he was done and then disposed of him accordingly.
