Got them eating Hikari gold and other crushed pellets, also they devoured my neon tetras.

If they're eating pellets don't give them live food. Pellets are much healthier and do not promote aggression.
Only live I willingly feed are ghost shrimp once a week, as a snack. The neon were just dithers to make the baby bass feel tougher

If you didn't decorate it then re-decorate it lol.
Just get a big square net, scoop out all the gravel, add Pfs, do a 50% wc. Then just clean the plants and maybe add some new ones, and you can get a decent piece of dw. Re doing a tank always seems much harder then it is.

That's how I got my 75g and 150g, the tank itself and everything in it, besides the fish, is my gf's and the parrot an goldfish our hers
