New peacock bass wont eat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah. The bass are bigger right now. Got a spring summer project to build a pond or something in my garage for the cats. Still in the planning stage for that. Everything is still small right now. Lol.

I didnt have any issues with mine eating but i fed them live food. For the 4 months or so that i had them they were still skiddish about being viewed. Sometimes they were fine if you didnt rush up on them but most of the time they would go as far away from you as possible. It takes them time to get used to it. The bigger they get the less they care. My buddies 2 year old bass will come right up to you.

So it's been a week and I only got these fish to eat one day and only a couple pellets. They just hide if you are near the tank and watch the food sink to the bottom. My tsn are eating like pigs. Water is good. 82 degrees and 0 ammonia. 6.8 ph.

Here are my azuls when I first got them last year. They are the ones with the solid black horizontal bar. They were very timid and very difficult to feed. Notice the food sediment sitting on the bottom front right side. I would break massivore pellets in pieces small enough for them to eat and just sit there dropping them in. You just have to be patient with them.
