Just curious what makes you suspect these individual species?

its been a few years since ive been into the fish hobby, but from what i recall a small brown streamlined cichlid with a dark black bar down its flanks and a little bit of blue...looks like theraps wesseli?

Exactly. I just get a kick out of how people can say "hybrid" and proceed to deduce the lineage and "mix" of the fish by looking at the photo. LOL This came right from the man himself. Rusty gave me a dozen of them. One of the most difficult fish I have ever tried to photograph. Very elusive..and it sticks to the bottom of the tank. Good job PeeWee and Shrimpy.

Doesn't anyone see a little managuense in the fish?
