New Photos - Hybrid?

Nope. I stated Hybrid with a question mark. And asked if anyone wanted to take a guess. You did. Sorry if you misread that.

Why did you suspect motaguense?

Read through the post on this or any forum. People are quick to yell hybrid and make a guess on the mixed flavors of the fish. I could never understand how they arrive at the various conclusions...and just wondering what the thought process was.

No harm...no foul...is what it is.

I can see the Gramodes guess from the orange base color on some of the fish. I am not following the moto guess.

The top fin looks like a firemouth to me if anything.

I never believed it could be a hybrid but only because you owned it :) Not because I knew what it was

LOL I can see how that might seem the case. Actually I have a couple hybrid fish in my collection. A few Citrinellum/Labiatum crosses, a convict/cutteri hybrid, a labridens hybrid (caught wild no less) and even one Bifas/Synspilum that I use as a "beater" in one of the agro tanks. When I had the pond up and running I had Synspilum breed with a Hogaboomorum but never kept the fry.

I have never seen it before but I think it is a very pretty brown fish.

:D I say the very same thing about Beani. Nice brown fish. I like them so far. Not what i am typically into. When we saw them in the wild in Honduras they were just as elusive as they are in the tank.

Thanks.

Mo,

Ive seen enough of your post to know that you probably know exactly what river/pond each one of them came from! i kinda called BS in my head as i was opening this post!

thanks for the pics
