The Hoplias Aimara species is just generally a very nasty fish, the most aggressive i've ever kept, don't think it really matters where they come from...From what i've heard and i see it already as i've had a small one and now currently have a 16 inch plus specimen, the older and larger the smarter and more aggressive they become.

Yup agree with you
My small one used to be shy away... Now being much more bigger it will try to attack me...but still consider as a defense unlike my bigger 16" it is pure attack... Looking at me with hate...

Well so far no common name for them.
So I name them Zombie Fish as common name haha
Reason being it is always wanting to have a bite of me.
And even if their lip is broken, bleeding and teeth is broken...
It will still bang onto the glass to try to bite me...
I got so call shock by it once awhile eg pouring some medicine into the tank and a big splash which I have to refill the cap...
And was doing some maintain below the tank and when i lift up my head after
Bending down it bang itself onto the tank...
Funny part is that it seem to only react to me and my hand... Will stare at my every movement.... My baby boy hand put infront the tank have no reaction only just stare at me...
