With everyone getting huge tanks, I might need to convince my dad to get a 300 maybe...

lol, I will see what I can do...I might need to find a new spot to set up a tank though. He doesn't quite drive a Mercedes...

you will love that filter..i am telling you, there are few that work better and it was a steal in my opinion.i had intended on letting you and john know about these once i got the 2 i bought working..if by chance they try'd backwashing the filter with the pump running, it can mess up the vavle. i didnt want to turn you on to a broken filter.. hopefully i will have mine running tonite and will find out if indeed it was a bargain or not.

Haha. Definitely, Let me know if it works. I was thinking of running the Reeflo Marlin rated at 2050 gph. I know you said to run it slow but do you think thats too slow?

i'd do a reeflo dart..3600gph..probably a little less than recommended for the filter..

got both my ultimas running on my new tank..valves were perfect..we scored a deal..jl, you REALLY need to go pick one up..its litterally half price and they've been used 6 months..i got additional $$ off for buying 2..

hammerhead would be a good pump..they can be toggled back to slow the flow if needed..like i told ya, slower is better, in MY opinion..
