New Pick Up - 8" Female Red Terror

Shes a beauty. The biggest female I seen was 10" read that they can reach 12" so yours has some growing room left.

Nice looking girl. BTW female festae get larger than 8", I have seen some near 11". A female that mojo got from the cichlidscene was at least that large.

Remember these pictures? Her coloration looked very similar to yours' when I got her.

(Oh yeah, and they do get bigger than 8". Mine was 8" when I got her and now she's over 9" and much beefier.)

Every so often you see a young 2.5-3" female that's completely obvious. I've seen more that aren't though.

From the pics, I'd guess about 7-8".....total guesstimate though.

I didn't get to measure her but she's easily 8"

Do I know my Festae or what?

Volcomstone, nice pick up and I'm sure she'll color up soon for you. Getting her a male or putting her in a community setting might just do the trick.

from what i have seen thats normal color for a stressed female. she should color up in a few days.

Definitely looks like a stressed girl the black leading onto the dorsal is a bit of a giveaway. Hope you find her a nice boyfriend !!

Yea Balton...I always trip out when I see the differences between your female back then and now. That shows how much tender love and care can do to a fish. I would've never figured those were the two same fish.
