New pick up.. 8 NTT's..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Only cause the NTT are small, I would feed them what they like to eat, get them fat say up to 3.5 inch or more.

Then try the starve method.

I have been in the aquarist hobby 20 years now. Lost 4 dats one by one. Scratching my head on a few deaths. Some of them were breathing very fast so I treated all with prazipro/ then after with coppersafe. Some just died during the first treatment. No I did not mix the meds. The water parameters are clean as can be 0,0,5.0 nitrate.

The dats breathing fast I can understand why they died, prob too late for them from flukes possibly. But what I am curious about are the other two that just died for no reason I can think of. I noticed before my NTT died, they turn SUPER STABLE. Showing their true beauty then they kick the bucket.

This is my first experience with datnoids and I have to say these fish are not for the beginner aquarist.

So far the four that is left seem fat and strong. They are semi stable. Sometimes they just go black:screwy: for no reason that I can figure out. When I do a massive water change they seem to be more stable. Very strange fish.
