They are definitely sweet fish. It is just a shame that pollutions has almost caused
extinction of the species, (among others) also driving the prices up 1500-2000 dollars compared to what they went for 20 years ago.

Not only pollutants. The area were the blue-eyed comes from id overridden with drug lords. So it is almost suicidal to collect them. Beutiful fish! I had one in the 80's they live a long time.

That is a very, very nice specimen, that has obviously been well-taken care of. Have you had any trouble with your Panaque and him yet? IME, blue-eyes can be rather aggressive with other similar loricariids.
