new pick up called a thermometer Knife?

just picked this guy up at the lfs hes around 11-12 in they called him a thermometer knife i just cant find any info on him so thinkin thats not the right name lol any help would be great thanks vic

Looks like some type of Rhamphichthydae species.

yea hes definately a super active knife species just dont know what he is tho

Closest species I can find that looks like that is Gymnorhamphichthys Rondoni. However, I don't think that's this exact fish.

looks close but they say 6 in max size this is double that
