Ya this little guy/girl is a mean little terd. It terrorizes all the fish in the tank that are smaller(5 Jags, 2 trimac/fh and a convict). It doesn't really mess with any of the larger fish, even the female cons which are about the same size. I need to get pics tough of the veija and a 3" jag doing their little territorial dance, they both think there so tough untill one of the bigger cichlids comes and breaks it up.

Considering the fact that there are a number of P. bifasciatus variants found in the hobby I would say that yours is almost assuredly not of pure lines.
It does look to have P. bifa in it and at first glance, since you acquired the fish as V. syns I would have assumed it a bifa x syns but I think it might actually be a bifa x BB.
It's nevertheless a gorgeous fish. Excellent color and very well cared for.
