New pick up - green polyps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
xenia, zooanthids, and mushrooms dont really need to be fed anyhting. as long as you have good water quality and they are positioned int he right place within the tank, they should thrive.

just give the zoos some time to establish and they should open right up for you.

i would personally move them to the rock on the far left in the foreground, but thats just me.

oh how i miss raising live corals...:spam:

Be patient, leave them alone, it is possible they are dead... but I cannot see why... unless they where unhealthy on the way in, or something is off in your tank.

I'd be surprized, they are generally pretty easy to keep. Just leave them alone, the more you bother them, change things in your tank, etc, the more likely they will not open.

how long has your tank been setup/running? it looks pretty new. i would wait until after the diatom bloom/cycle before adding any coral. perhaps try to grow some coralline first.

i rushed a few coral frags into my tank right after cycle and nothing lasted. going to let the water stable out for anther month or so before i try again.

They've been left alone in the same spot for about 8days now, tank has been running for about half a year now. I do have some coralline algae in the back that's growing, it's pretty faint though. I might reduce the bioload of the tank. There is one percula clown , 2 snails , 1 emerald crab. I might take out the percula clown and add some dwarf sea horses since they have some what of a less bioload and feeding them pods (and baby brine shrimp) could help establish a better soft coral tank.
