nice pickup. oscars and jds should be fine, although larger jds can get pretty aggressive to the Os on occasion.

The o's are about 7 inches and the jd's are about 1.5 inches so they should be fine for a while, I'm moving in the beginning of 2009 and gettin a concrete basement. When that happens I'll probably split both species into their own dedicated 220's but until then I think they will be okay, especially after observing them for the past few hours.
My girlfriend and i have had two juv jack dempseys that have just started breeding in our 6x1.5x1.5 with a pair of tiger oscars one of whom is around 9 inches and the other at 7 inches and they have only now just started to show aggression towards each other since spawning but the jds have been giving it to the oscars and not the other way around.. It all depends on the individual fish but i'd say they'd be fine..
Well it's been about a month and a half and the larger one has colored up pretty well and the smaller one hasn't, maybe a pair? The smaller one is the second pic, sorry for the photo quality. (new camera for Christmas)
