Just an update. Taken few days ago during water change. Difference between day time and night time

All bought around the same time.

The p14 hybrid female has the slowest growth. Feels like no change in size but big change in colours

The BDs grow the fastest. Estimated about 10-12 inch disc size

U.K
Looking great.
How do you find running a pump that sits on sand?
Does the impellor not get trashed?

The impeller no problems so far after using for about a year, with sand about 8 months

The impeller was stuck once but mostly due to roots from the lucky bamboo I have inside rather than sand

The not so nice thing would be the first column of my filter box would have plenty of sand.... only recently there is not much sand

Note: this is not real sand but more of manufactured sand which I believe is used more for construction

The pump model is sunsun jtp 5800 if you are interested

Another update... removed the driftwood to give more space and added 2 air pads.... for some reason they love to move 1 of the air pad to the middle , no matter how many times I push it to the back... the reason why 1 has algae on it...they win

Submersible pump still working fine even though it's covered in sand

Time for an upgrade very soon.... unless I sell a pair or two
