Just bought this guy from my lfs... he got shipped in by mistake about two months ago and no one wanted him, so I decided to buy him.
He was $25, and is about 6-7" long. A little higher than what they would normally cost, but i don't mind spending the extra money to keep them in business.
I also asked that they feed him before i buy him, to make sure he's healthy... Turns out he's a pig

He quickly claimed that shell as his home when i added him to the tank.

Comment and let me know what you think.

Also, any advice or stories or anything from you guys that have kept snowflake eels before?

My opinion best little eels. you have a nice colorful eel that doesnt get huge nor fast and great personality. one of my faves. im actually on the look for a paritulcar color pattern myself. and like most eels tough like steel. short of severing the head from the body they will survive anything. i would say this though lots of hides, variety of food not just one thing forever, and plz plz plz when i say tape up ur lid i mean tape up ur lid. we are a eel house and the only thing i ever buy at office depot is black duct tap.e :)

it WAS to keep fish out... Not going to hold him though.
It's where the PVC intake is for my filter. 1" hole that sucks water into my filter, with only that cage to prevent fish from being sucked up. Definitely need to fix that lol
 
U wont be able to keep camel or pepperments but if the crabs are big enough like bigish emeralds are ok. i have my eels with hermits, cleaner shrimp, coral banded shrimp and use to with emeralds, but no ornamental small shrimp. and when i say tape things up i meant like now tonight before u go bed.....hurry! lol.
 
Coral banded size. like cleaner shrimp size. if u pm me for my txt number i can show u some pics of my tape up jobs cuz its too complicated to try and describe. my husband loves my tape jobs. we have 5 eels and he swears by them.
