Well at that size they are babies. i would recommend instead of one huge feeding (like feeding till he stops) feed him small variety of meals maybe every other day. krills,silversides, squid all favorites. also due to the messy nature of eels a good clean up crew and water changing routine are very important. i found olive snails (if u have a deep enough sand bed), emerald crabs and scarlet red crabs do a great job.

I have a 4.5" toadfish/stonefish in there with him, so I think shrimp and such aren't an option unless they're at least 4".

I'm loving him so far. He's now getting really comfortable in the tank and is starting to roam around a lot. He likes to hang around the toadfish and they're starting to share a hiding spot.
