I just recieved a new polypterus endlicheri from aquabid. Now that I finally have him set up in a grow out, Ive noticed that his eyes are not quite the same. Not sure how to describe it, or which eye is the good one. I believe the problem is with his left eye, but im not sure. One is large, and the other is, well it doesnt really appear to even be there. It doesnt look like any scar tissue or other evidence of the loss of the left eye. It appears to be more like a very small eye with excess skin growing over it. Like I said, not really sure. Sorry about the pics, best I can do with this little guy. What are your opinions and should I be concerned?

Cool, it doesnt look like a disease or anything so I really wasnt sure. That makes me feel much better. I was just worried if I had to start doing some sort of treatment or not! As long as it isnt something that will kill him, I dont care if a practically blind fish has less vision, Ill just baby him to adulthood. Thanks for the knowledge

lol, it was supposed to be ~5", it is barely 2.5"

You should be ok. My Endi is also blind in one eye and he's doing just fine. He's also my most aggressive eater.
