New pick up, Red Pikes....ID please

I got these two yesterday. They were labeled as Red Pike Cichlids, what do you guys think?

they just get a little nicer red/pink color and get a white stripe through the dorsal
 
Females are generally more attractive when it comes to Crenicichla. :) There are a few exceptions, but for the most part the females take the cake. :)

Congrats on the pike ups! They are awesome for sure! Johanna are great pikes to start out with too! :)

I am kinda startin' to get the Creni fever again!:nilly:
 
Hey Tyler, they are doing good, about 3" now. One has started to show a little dominance so the other has some minor fin damage, hopefully this will not become an issue. Only problem is feeding, they won't take any dry foods, but will stuff themselves on earth worms, cut market shrimp, and frozen brine or blood worms.

Have you checked with Jon Jennings he may have some larger, rarer pike available. Looks like rapps has a few different available too.
