New pick up STURGEON Need help please?

Research before you buy bigj they are a real commitment. That fish if kept well will out live you. $12 should not have been the reason you bought it, sturgeon are not something that should be bought on pure impulse. The fish you have can't be its tankmates the sturgeon cant take the heat. Be sure you do plenty of waterchanges and that you have a nice powerhead. It should accept bloodworms or small pieces of night crawler or even dead pieces of rosy reds. Anything that smells and sinks down to the bottom really. Good luck with him they are real cool fish but a pain to keep and need a nice and big clean tank. Even if it is one of the small species its going to be 3-4 ft, but I have a feeling it could be a white and if you keep him well your grandkids could be taking care of your $12 purchase well after your gone man!
Best of luck, you should be ok with the tank in a cool basement with no heater for temp. and remember water changes! lots of them!

As far as that stuff goes you can go to hell!! You know me? The fish was started in the 10 because it was so small!!!! I needed to know if it was eating!! The size was not a concern!! Come on, dude, you have 16 hundred posts, you should know not to make impulse buys on fish you don't know anything about.

Keep temp low, get very big. Pics for ID.....

I know the that stuff i mean people with exp. keeping the temp is 72 i have a huge amount of air in the tank! By the way what the hell does post count have to do with it? I never said to be anything i'm not? Some people need to use there head please!!

Just picked up this little fish? It's about 3-4 inches cool looking fish i know nothing about them anything would help i do have the temp at 70-72? Anything you can let me know would be sweet the fish store said they feeding frozen brine shrimp? Any help will be very nice thanks i'll get some pic's later after he settles down... By the way he's in a 10 gallon just until i know whats going on he was a whole $12.00

Maybe your the one that is clueless, and use your head, as your statements contradict each other, BigJ, just look above. You clearly make it sound like an impulse buy saying you "know nothing about them", so to no surprise people get angry, which rightfully they should. So how do you resolve the issue? by telling them the opposite of what you just said, as well as telling them to go to hell . I may not know you, but I am willing to bet the next time you cry wolf, or something actually goes wrong, thier not going to be the ones to come running, which is sad because some of them actually have expierence with sturgeon.
Anyhow, the rest of us who you haven't verbally attacked yet, are still waiting for pics for I.D., so we can help you to the best of our abilities with how to take care of it (unless you want to not post pics and contradict that post you made too)

It's not a problem! I could care less if people that are stupid want to help what good are they? This thread was'nt started to start anything! Just for some tip's!! No worries, the only real reason i'm on this site is to PURCHASE RARE FISH!! 99% of the people now less about fish than my 7 year old son!! But there is some people how want to help people!! And have true know how in the Hobby!! To them thanks!!! Jeff
