How would you be able to tell if its wild caught? And what's the difference?

It depends on the size and where it comes from mainly. Like the collectors/sellers. I think wc have better colors or variation due to their origin.

The difference between the WC ones and the CB ones that I have noticed first hand is the head shape and secondly the patterns. The head shape of the CB ones starts off very rounded almost like a senegal then once ita around the 8-10" mark is starts to flatten out a little bit but still very rounded compared to their WC counterpart. Almost all the smaller teugelsi or even teugelsis that are being sold right now for around $40-$100 are CB. Price to me usually isn't a very good indicator as to weather its CB or WC, but one of the things I notice is that with almost all the people that are selling "WC" for $40-$80 have CB. There's only a select few people I trust to have true WC teugelsi. As far as pattern both CB teugelsi I have, have a base color (usually red if on black sand or light red/dark Orange if on garnet) and then with black all the way down their body. Where as my WC teug had not nearly as much black. It's hard to explain exactly unless you see them side by side. I'll try and find some pics to compare for a better reference to what I am talking about.

These are the best I could find at the moment, but as you can see on the bottom the WC's head is much more flat than the CB teugelsi above (even thought it's not the greatest pic to compare for head shape). Another thing that I usually notice is that the proportion of black on CB teugelsi is usually a lot bigger than on WC teugelsi as seen in the 2 pics. Another thing I forgot to mention is that the CB's tail is dirty red and seems to have much more of a circular shape with rounded edges than the WC's who have not as circular or dirty red tails. However the blackness isn't always an indicator as to wheather it's CB or WC as I remember primo aquatics bringing in some very black WC teugelsi, but just the way the black is laid out on the WC's vs. the CB's is a big giveaway to me at least.

So mine is most likely cb based on the head and tail shape

Either way hopefully he gets more red as I do have black sand and that would be sweet
