They don't. Basenjis are a hunting dog, not a "watchdog". And while they don't 'bark', they're far from being silent; they yodel and chatter.

Oh,the info that BristolDibbler posted said that they make an excellent watchdog.That is why I asked but I figured that they made some type of noise.

I don't think he has any chihuahua in him though. He's too quiet to be a taco bell dog! I've had em before and jeeze i hated their barks!

handsome little dude. With a mix there's no certainty, but Chihuahua wouldn't be the first thing to come to mind; he looks more like a Xolo or a Rat Terrier than a Chihuahua.

Thats darn good that he dont bark... those little rats are always batking (Mexican familys love those and my fam has a lot of them)

Chihuahua is over populated in So Cal, since everyone wants to look like a celeb!
