Hmm when i posted mine everyone told me it was falcatus, damn. Of course w/ my luck i get some rare contaminant and it had eaten a pebble chasing feeders lol

Well we can't really compare prices because we are in different countries I believe. Because it was at a lfs the cost was high. I usually start out with a young one. but it was $180 with discount originally $320

Wow for a 8" aro, cool cuda btw thinking about picking up some myself.
 
Meh. Proportionally speaking that's about what I paid. I always see guys saying they picked up a baby silver for $15, but honestly I was ok with the $50 I spent on mine.

I hope the little guy is at least eating well. Has he taken food yet?

Also, asking a guy who has raised a silvers from babies before, what do you usually feed? My little guy only seems happy with freeze dried krill at the moment. I'm picking up some hikari floating pellets soon, but I'm not sure he'll eat those.

Neither species is more rare than the other, most people just don't know about altus. They're generally both called falcatus.
