ok i have picked up a nice female jd for my male and i also got a salvini and a breeding pair of rainbow cichlids .
does anyone now what sex the salvini,green tex and gt.

Texas is a male. GT is a female and Sal is a boy.

i forgot to tell you my sajicas did have wrigglers and now in a seporate tank i have atleast 40+ hahahah and how many did you have 30. also my other female has laid eggs and will be hatching soon also my hrp are pre spawning.
and i only had 2 and you had 5.....how are yours anyway? i will get pics if you want. also i have just come back from watching the simpsons and it is hilarious must see everyone

Personally, I think they are too small to sex with certainty. Try posting again in 2-3 months.

i dont know.......i think you mis read it says rainbow cichlid Herotilapia multispinosa. i thought that too but i have seen other threads so i thought i'd make one..... the gt is about3inch, the salvini is about 1.5inch and the green texas is about 2inch

GT looks female, but it's fins are tattered a little, so that could be misleading.

Once it's healed it should be fairly easy to tell.

Your texas has pretty rounded fins... looks like a female carpinte. But, at 2" it might be a late bloomer. I keep cyanos and once you know what to look for, you can usually sex these fish at about that size. Grow these guys out for another month or two on a high protein and color enhancing diet. We should be able to tell then. As, for the others, I agree with Cross.
