How come flowerhorns are cheap when they are small, yet crazy expensive when they are over 8"? I saw two for sale at the lfs the other day, one was $300, one was $425 I believe. Thats CRAZY.

Because the larger ones can breed man, and if they are good specimen then they'll make the owner lot's of HOT little Flowerhorn babies! Same applies for all fish! ;-)
