I got these guys free tonight..kind of a rescue seeing as their previous living condition was dirty as sin...anyway they are in hotel Green Terror until the previous owner empties their old tank and I pick it up and CLEAN the eff out of it haha!
Here they are:

That's a lovely full tank shot and they look like pretty decent quality Parachromis.

Nice photos all round actually. Bravo.

I think the red terror may have some sort of fungus on his pectoral fins but it may be something else...I will have to keep an eye on it for the next few days.

You should have seen the filth in this tank! When I was netting them I had to move some rock work and there was crap flying everywhere...could hardly see the fish through all the algae on the glass...the woman who owned them wasn't home but her husband kept thanking me over and over for taking them haha.

The one you called a Red Terror is actually a Freddie or Loisellei.. Nice tank and pickups though.

The second fish isn't a Red Terror. It's either a P. loiselli, P. friedrichstali (sp?) or a female P. managuense. I'm terrible with centrals.

that red terror you posted is not a red terror. It is some kind of parachromis, I would lean more towards mota

How big is it?

I am so terrible with cichlids...still learning them!
I would guesstimate around 4-5"

Not a Motaguense, but either a Freddie or a Loisellei, the 2 are kind of tricky to tell apart sometimes.. Both are in the Paracromis family. Is there any purple in the base color?

The two fish are from the same Genus, Parachromis. I'm not 100% sure on the ID.

Red Terrors are exCichlasoma festae.
