why not breed them do you wan't a pair of pure Jaguars
Cause hybrids aint always pretty. It's much harder to sell a hybrid than a pure fish, and they tend to not look anywhere near as nice unless you mix them as much as they did with fh. Don't taint the jaguars please. :)

^^ yea we're returning the female today. Hopefully we will find a female for him. If not i have 4 jags rite now i'm growing out also we got like 30 Red terrors X_X caint wait!

STOCK LIST FOR WEEK OF JUNE 2ND

WILD NICARAGUAN FISH LIST

Parachromis managuense 9-10”+ $90.00
jumbo show size wild jaguars–bold pattern, big teeth, thick/powerful jaws

It's either a Fredrichsthali or a Loiselli. Difficult to tell with the photos. If I had to pick one over the other, I would say Freddie.

Too many people too willing to yell hybrid. Unfortunately it's the nature of the hobby today. In reality you won't see many hybrid Parachromis type fish. Doesn't happen that often IMHO (thank God)

Yeah but Parachromis breed with other Parachomis species and still should be separated from the managuense imho.

I agree that cross breeding happens. What I was saying is that it doesn't happen often with parachromis type fish. Post an "ID this fish thread" and watch how many responses come back "hybrid". My opinion is that the fish in question in this thread isn't a hybrid anything.

Personally I don't think there is an absolute need to separate it from the Managuense for fear of breeding. I would be more concerned about aggression. Any time you add an adult Parachromis type fish to an established aquarium you are rolling the "kick my ass" dice.

I disagree. The head shape just doesn't seem right for a Parachromis.

especially in the 3rd picture.

Not for a Managuense...but could be for Loiselli or Fredrichsthali. And head shape isn't the best gauge for determining species. I have eight adult managuense from three different locales. All with different (albeit minor) differences. A really good example would be Hericthys Pantostictum. The riverine version of the fish have a more torpedo like head...while the other are more round bodied. Collection locale among various strains can give you different standards.

If I know nothing else...I know camera angles. That's why that particular fish photo looks different. Trust me on this one....it's the angle of the shot.:).

Regarding my previous comment about head shape:

Both of these fish are Riverine variant of Hericthys Pantostictum (thanks to my mate Rick "Big Cichlid" for using his photos here) Same fish...different collection locales...different head and body shape.

PM sent about the 11 inch female in my avatar I would be willing to sell.
