ok i just got a pair of there little monsters today and was wondering if anyone could ID them for me. They are pretty small, and didnt want to sit still. also if anyone could give me tips on the specific species of bass like characteristics special diets or anything else. i did some reading about peacock bass, just not individual species. I have them in a small growout tank and they are mostly hiding. i already turned the heat up and added salt because i heard they are prone to ich.
THANKS FOR THE HELP!

1st one on the left is either occel or mono....for the one in the second pic can u get a pic of the tail? Headshape looks mono or occel but markings may be orino but i doubt it

they were both purchased under the same "peacock bass" name and to me look the same. is it common to get different species in one batch? i know they purchased the bass from one person, and i was thinking they were the same. I will try to get better pics.

They're all farm mono/ocell. All the same species there guys ;)

can you post better pics?

for some reason about a month ago the water got cloudy and i cant get rid of it so no pics will show since they love the back of the tank. i thought it was the dirty goldfish my girlfriend "had to keep", but now that they became fish food for my RBP, i still cant clear it up. i tried water clarifier, changing filter pads, and 50% water changed daily for 3 days. I will get this right and post better pics. ps i tried to get them to eat all kinds of stuff and finally threw some guppies in and they perked right up. is that normal for baby bass?

What are your water parameters? Never use chemicals, I don't know how much I can stress this. I recommend that you don't change your filter pads. You want to take the existing pads that are in your tank and clean them by shaking and squeezing them out in matured tank water. By throwing out the pads, you are throwing away your biological bacteria that break down the organic toxins that are in your water. I'd stop the water changes and let the bacteria in your tank cultivate. Testing your water will be the only way to really find out what's going on.
